Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need textbooks if I have the syllabus?

Absolutely, the syllabus shows what to study, but meanwhile, textbooks explain how to study it. Therefore, combining both gives you a complete preparation experience.

Is it compulsory to follow the JAMB syllabus?

Not necessarily, but it ishighly recommended. Otherwise, you risk preparing off-track. In contrast, following the syllabus keeps you aligned with what the examiners expect.

Are past questions necessary if I am using the syllabus?

Yes, definitely. While the syllabus tells you what to study, on the other hand, past questions show you how those topics are tested. Consequently, using both helps you prepare more strategically.

Is the syllabus the same for all candidates nationwide?

Of course, JAMB uses a standardized syllabus for all candidates in Nigeria and abroad. Thus, everyone writes the same Arabic exam based on the same syllabus content.
